Today, the Locarno Film Festival revealed the programme of its 76th edition (from 2 to 12 August) (read the news) which also includes the parallel sections.

The Cineasti del presente competition, a section dedicated to the discovery of the cinema of tomorrow (first and second features by young filmmakers) in which, as artistic director of the festival Giona A. Nazzaro has highlighted, “all the colours of the cinema are represented,” this year consists of 15 films (all in world premieres) among which many European productions and coproductions (10 out of 15). Finally, the impressive and now legendary Piazza Grande (an immense open-air cinema that can accommodate up to 8,000 spectators each evening) will host 17 films this year (including 9 world premieres) of which 12 are European productions and coproductions.
